Confirmation class continues today, Sun. 6th Aug. at 11am.

Servers’ practice continues tomorrow (Mon. 5:30-6:30pm). New servers are welcome. Parents of any child who is interested in learning to serve can contact Fr Sofatzis and are welcome to join us (children must have made their 1st Holy Communion at least 1 year ago.)

Scripture class tomorrow (Mon.) evening is at 7:45pm.

The Young Dads’ Group meets this Tues. 8th July at the Belgian Beer Café in town at 8pm. Please see Nick Augimeri for details. All welcome.

Fr Sofatzis’ evening classes continue this Thurs. at 7:30pm on 3 Aug. We will be discussing Brant Pitre’s book, Jesus, and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist. All welcome.

Youth Group meets this Friday evening, beginning with Catechism at 5:30pm.

Tuesday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption and is a Holy Day of Obligation in Australia. Masses will be at 7am, 9:30am (Low Masses) and 6:30pm (Sung Mass).

There will be a BYO shared lunch in the Meeting Room at 12:30pm Sun. 20th August for anyone who wishes to come. Please see Ines Barson for details.

Save the date: We will be running a Fathers and Sons Camp from Friday evening 22nd Sept. to Sunday afternoon 24th Sept. It will be for Primary and High School boys (past 1st Holy Communion), with their fathers / legal guardian.

Movie night fundraiser: There will be a school fundraiser screening of the film Sound of Freedom (rated PG-13), starring Jim Caviezel on Sun. 27 Aug. at 6:30pm. Tickets $20. The Confraternity of St Peter next meets on Sat. 26 Aug. for 8:30am Mass, followed by a Holy Hour, morning tea / brunch and a short presentation. All welcome.
