Servers’ practice continues tomorrow, 5:30-6:30pm.

There is no Scripture class tomorrow. Class resumes next Mon. 28th Aug. at 7:30pm.

Fr Sofatzis’ evening classes continue this Thurs. at 7:30pm. This will be the final class on the text, Jesus, and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist, by Brant Pitre.

The Confraternity of St Peter next meets this Sat. 26 Aug. for 8:30am Mass, followed by a Holy Hour, morning tea / brunch and a short presentation. All welcome.

Movie Night Fundraiser: Tickets are SOLD OUT for our Movie Night Fundraiser, Sound of Freedom, next Sun. 27th Aug. Thank you for your support. Film begins at 6:30pm (please arrive early) at Palace Nova Prospect.

Fathers’ Day Cake Stall: Sun. 3rd Sept. is our annual cake stall to raise money for the bus hire for our October CREX Pilgrimage. All donations of cakes greatly appreciated. Thank you.

With gracious thanks to the Salesians, Holy Name Church is privileged to host the relic-statue of St John Bosco from 3pm on Sun. 3rd Sept. We will have two hours of prayer and devotions, asking for St John’s intercession for the success of the new school our community hopes to start next year.

Members from our parish have put together a magazine called Agony, which includes essays, poetry, fiction, and visual art. It is for sale at the bookstall. If you are interested in submitting, please talk to Sean Haylock .

Fathers and Sons Camp: Information and registrations forms are available for our Fathers and Sons Camp (Friday evening 22nd Sept. to Sunday after-noon 24th Sept.) It will be for Primary and High School boys (past 1st Holy Communion), with their fathers / legal guardian. Cost: $100 per person / $300 per family.

Men’s Retreat: There is a proposed 4 Day Retreat for Men with Fr Adrian Wee FSSP (5-9 Jan. 2024 in Belair). Please let us know if you are interested, as a minimum number is needed to proceed. Please take a flyer or make a booking at the table near the bookstall after the 9:15am Mass.
