Congratulations to thirteen of our parishioners who will make their First Holy Communions today at the 9:15am Mass. There will be a morning tea in the Ellengowan Hall after Mass. All welcome.

This Friday  is the Feast of the Sacred Heart and also the 1st Friday of the Month:

The Siena Women’s Group (35+) will meet this Sat. (2nd Sat. of the month) for prayer, a spiritual talk (Fr McGuckin), reflection and fellowship. It begins with Adoration at 9:30am and concludes around midday. Please contact Narelle Price (0413 208 341) for more details.

The Young Mothers’ Reading Group will also meet this Sat. (2nd Sat. of the month) at 10am at Ern Malley. Please contact Madeline Gallasch (0411 144 114) for more details.

Thank you to all who helped with last weekend’s Quiz Night. We made $765.50 for the Hutt St Centre kitchen.

St Martha’s Kitchen is in need of more volunteers to provide cooked meals for members of the community in need. We are also looking for volunteers to help occasionally deliver meals to community members living in a suburb near to their own. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Narelle Price (0414 208 231) or refer to the information sheet in the Tea Room’s kitchen.

We are still accepting contributions towards our ordination gift of a set of vestments for Fr Bede Cannavo, OSB, who will be visiting us next month to give first blessings and offer mass. Please see Fr McCaffrey if you would like to donate. Thank you.

We will be running silent retreats for men and women in January 2025, directed by Fr Adrian Wee. Places are limited (~25), please see the flyers for details and to register (here for men’s retreat and here for women’s retreat). We request expressions of interest by 1st July.

This year’s Philosophy Camp (for school aged children, grades 5-12), will be running from Mon. 15th – Thus. 18th of July. Information and Registration forms will be available next Sunday.

If you are an adult baptised Catholic who has not yet been confirmed, can you please let Fr McCaffrey know. Adult Confirmations will take place in the Cathedral on Sat 20th July.

Please do not place any advertising material in the church without the prior permission of the chaplain. Thank you.

Please remember the sick in your prayers, especially Constantine Day, Damian Wyld, Domenic Marafiote, Tony Caruso and Vincenza Martucci (Ines Barson’s mother). Please also remember the recently deceased, especially those whose anniversaries occur about this time.
