The Holy Week Schedule is available on the purple A4 sheets. Please take a copy home or you can download one from here. In particular please be aware that this year:
- The Easter Vigil this year will commence at 7:30pm on Saturday evening; and
- There will be NO 5pm Mass on Easter Sunday.
NB: Good Friday is a day of fasting (1 full meal and 2 snacks which together don’t amount to a second full meal) for all those between 18-59 years old, and a day of abstinence from flesh meat for all those aged over 14 years. All days of Lent (excepting Sundays and Solemnities) are days of penance.
Please keep those who will be baptised and those who will be received into full communion with the Catholic Church next weekend in your prayers this week. Please also note: the Easter Vigil is expected to take approx. 3 hours.
Servers’ practice has been moved from Monday to Tuesday this week 5:30pm – 6:30pm.
Project Compassion buckets will be available at the doors of the church over the Easter weekend.
We raised $800 for Project Compassion from last Sunday’s Car Wash. Well done!
There will be a final Youth Group for the term on Fri. 14 April (beginning with catechism at 5:30pm).
There will be a family Tennis Picnic on Divine Mercy Sun. 16 April at 11am at Mellor Reserve, Howard St, Beulah Park. BYO Picnic lunch, chairs etc. Free tennis lesson for children and adults (balls & racquets supplied); kids’ playground and large lawn area available.
There will also be Divine Mercy Holy Hour and Devotions at Holy Name Church at 3pm.
Chicken Pox is in the community—please take the care (especially pregnant women.)
Please remember the sick in your prayers, especially Damian Wyld, Anthony Green (Benedict Green’s and Anna Ros’s son), Kathryn Nader, Tony Caruso and Vincenza Martucci (Ines Barson’s mother). Please also remember the recently deceased and those whose anniversaries occur about this time.
